Weardale House Outdoor Activity Centre is a purpose-built residential centre situated in Weardale part of the North Pennines.
The activity centre and surrounding countryside provides all the natural ingredients to enhance your outdoor adventure and, with experienced activity tutors, complemented by the comfort, cuisine and resources of the centre.
The adventure programme has a high outdoor activity content, using the fell, crags and underground facilities, each adventure or activity course being tailored to individual group requirements.

Our instructors are well qualified and multi-skilled, are career focussed, and all have worked at Weardale House for several years. They stay with one group for the duration of your stay and lead them in all of the activities.
Compare this against centres which use poorly paid, gap year students, who have done a short in-house training course and are ‘qualified’ to teach only one or two activities.
We take young people out of the grounds to experience the local countryside at first hand. Your children will climb on a real rock face and get wet in a real river!
Compare this to those centres where all activities are done in the grounds and the only time your children will see the countryside is through the coach window.
