Weardale House Outdoor Activity Centre
|
Weardale House Outdoor Activity Centre is a purpose-built residential centre situated in Weardale part of the North Pennines.
The activity centre and surrounding countryside provides all the natural ingredients to enhance your outdoor adventure and, with experienced activity tutors, complemented by the comfort, cuisine and resources of the centre.
The adventure programme has a high outdoor activity content, using the fell, crags and underground facilities, each adventure or activity course being tailored to individual group requirements.

We offer a fantastic range of activities, which can include a full evening entertainments programme. All course activities and outcomes are tailor made to the requirements of your group. Our course options include day visits, and two, three, four and five day residentials, including weekends. We have term time availability throughout the year, and, in particular, during the Autumn and Winter terms.
As well as a number of weekends, (Friday – Sunday) throughout the year, we also have availability during the following holidays:

Weardale House is one of the first outdoor centres in the country to be awarded the Learning Outside The Classroom Quality Badge (www.lotcqualitybadge.org.uk), recognising it as a provider of quality, safely managed educational experiences. Weardale House has also been approved by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (www.hse.gov.uk/aala) for many years.
